Who Is NOT A Candidate For PRF EZGEL?
You should not get PRF treatments if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have low platelets, if you have an active infection in the treatment area, certain skin diseases, cancer, or any blood or bleeding disorders. Patients on blood thinning medications or who have certain autoimmune disorders are not good candidates for PRF treatments.
Preparing For PRF:
Precare:
Avoid taking any anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, aspirin or naproxen for at least seven days prior to the procedure. These medications can thin the blood and increase the risk of bleeding and bruising during the injection process.
Avoid consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to the injection. Alcohol can cause dehydration, which can lead to increased pain and discomfort during and after the procedure.
Avoid engaging in physical activity that could cause strain or stress on the area that will be injected with PRF. This includes strenuous exercise or activities such as running or lifting heavy weights.
Postcare:
You may experience bruising, redness, itching, swelling, and/or soreness that may last from 2-5 days following your treatment. It is normal to feel a tingling sensation while the cells are being activated.
Ice or cold compresses can be gently applied to reduce swelling if required.
You should avoid NSAIDS such as aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, and other anti-inflammatory medications for 3 days after your procedure.
You should try to avoid alcohol, caffeine, and smoking for 3 days after treatment as well.
Avoid blood thinning supplements including Ginko, Fish oil, etc.
Avoid vigorous exercise, sun, and heat exposure for at least 2 days after your treatment.
Continue increased water intake the first week after your treatment.
